Welcome to the German Pavilion at Metallurgy Ukraine 2009.
The friendly relationship and economic cooperation between Germany and the Ukraine has a long tradition. In the light of the current economic challenges strong partnerships are key to ensuring sustainable developments for the future. Technology, innovation, energy and resource efficiency are important factors when it comes to set the course for new growth.
Metals, ironware and alloys represent one of the most important and dynamic sectors of the Ukrainian economy. Ukrainian exports and imports in the machinery sector were steadily expanding in recent years, creating manifold opportunities for common projects in industry, research and development.
Germany is Ukraine's second-largest trade partner after Russia. German exports amounted to 6.5 billion Euros (+10%) in 2008 with the machine building industry playing an important role. German exports of metallurgical machinery and plants to the Ukraine have substantially increased over the last decade and suppliers are prepared to continue to meet the expectations of their customers, responding to current challenges as well as providing sustainable solutions.
The companies at the official German participation present a showcase of state-of-the-art technology in the fields of metallurgical plants and rolling mills, foundry machinery, thermo process technology, and related services and products.
On behalf of all German exhibitors, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWI), the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) and the VDMA (German Engineering Federation) cordially invite you to visit the Official German Presentation at METALLURGY UKRAINE 2009.
